Antiphon of Rhamnus is an exceptional orator and his contribution to the study of (ir)religiosity in Athens, an aspect of paramount importance in the 5th century BC, is fundamental. In this article, which concerns the Second Tetralogy (a masterpiece in which Antiphon admirably displays his judicial rhetorical skills), we will comment and analyze certain lexical and semantic innovations by our orator which underline Antiphon's originality in the use of relevant aspects for the understanding of the (ir)religious phenomenon in the 5th century BC
