Una aproximación al estudio de las arengas fallidas: Livio, Lucano y Silio Itálico

Las arengas militares que fracasan no han sido hasta ahora estudiadas de una manera sistemática. Por ello, este artículo pretende un acercamiento crítico a este tipo de discurso tanto en la historiografía como la épica latinas. Dado que el número de ejemplos no es demasiado grande, estudiaremos todos los casos encontrados en tres autores: Livio, Lucano y Silio Itálico. Los tres autores han sido escogidos teniendo en cuenta las relaciones temáticas e intertextuales existentes entre ello
